On my 1987 intake manifold there is something on the passenger side near the throttle body. It looks like something electrical.

I'm concerned because I'm putting a 1989 350 Vette engine and the intake on that doesn't have it.

Anybody have a clue?

 

is it the wire coming off the egr can you take a picture

There's no throttle body in your photo

 

Yeah I know but assuming the throttle body was there. It's the one on the bottom left side of the intake.

 

thats the cold start injector sending unit, only needed if you are using an ecm from and 88 and earlier car.

 

Alright. So this goes with the cold start injector?

If I'm using that 89 Vette Engine with it's 89 computer there is no problem right?

 

If you're using an engine that has no cold start injector, the cold start switch won't be a problem.
