Weird SES light?
I have some problems with my 87 Camaro 305 TPI...
Just finished a swap from carb to TPI.
When I start the car i get the SES light coming on at once...
let the car run for 30 seconds and light is still on.
Then i shut off engine and try to ground the diagnostic terminal.
no codes...only code 12...
After driving for a long time SES light is always on...checking codes again and then I get code 32, 33 and 34...
Any ideas??...I try to clear the codes and do the diagnostic tests as described in my Chevy's swapper guide. There is good explanation of how to check them codes...And that guide tell me to clear the codes and try to run engine for 15 seconds and check codes...and 30seconds and check codes...the only problem is that I don't get any codes if I check.
The SES light is still glowing after I start the car but no codes.
Any ideas???

Re: Weird SES light?
I know...And first I want to get rid of the code 32 before I do something more about the MAF sensor...
I have tried to disconnect the EGR temp switch and I still get that code...
I think I would have to change the EGR components except the EGR valve because that one is brand new...
The EGR temperature switch is a old one from a old TPI system and the EGR solenoid is from my old carb setup..Is there any difference on the EGR solenoids??...I think I would have to change those first to check if that is better...

I don't know off the top of my head if the egr solenoids are interchangeable or not but you could get a new temp switch and the correct solenoid and try it .
