the infamous 7/4 cam swap

ok i know how and y the 7/4 is a good swap on the cam firing order i know that its an easy swap on a carbed small block but with fuel injection like we have would it be an issue or since its not sequential it wouldnt have a problem with having to reprogram the computer with the different firing order

I think it's not a fuel delivery issue with TPI. Do it if that's what you want.

You could run whatever firing order you want, the TPI and the computer dont know and dont care.

You have to swap the wires AND replace the cam.

Re: the infamous 7/4 cam swap

i know i need to change the cam lol i ment the only other thing ide have to do was swap the wires no fuel mods

the swap moves 7 and 4 in the firing order so it goes from 18436572 to 18736542 wen u split the firing order in half 7 and 4 r companion cylinders and wat it does is changes the dtc for compressoin and exhaust and it reduces vibration and stress on the crank wen either of the cylinders or on there tdc position it also gives more power on the top end nothign crazy but its been like a proven 10-12hp at 5500
