TPI IAC

Is it possible for idle to get stuck on high because the iac(pintle) is sticking or not coming back in quick enough??

check the throttle cable there are some washers behind the gas peddle that get hung-up sometimes. iac could get stuck if there is alot of carbon build up

Yes this is possible. They sell a Noid light/IAC motor Tester (rent from Checker, Schucks, or Kragen) $6.00/day! if you do get a new IAC motor, your gonna have to recalibrate the idle. see the tech article on TPS and IAC adj...
