I recently discovered that the after market chip in my car was for a auto,diff gear ratio,and 5.7.I just bought the car few months back.So it
was driven all last summer like that.It started having idle probs last fall,and it seemed to not get better.So,it was idling bad,getting stuck on high idle,but not all the time.(off and on) Sometimes,tapping the gas pedal will make it come down.I got the right factory chip back in it now.It smoothened out the way it was running alot.(better) But before i got that factory chip back in,it was putting on the V-Speed-Sen code.The speedo still worked,and i tried a diff speed buffer.With original chip in it,the code has come up once.The idle still gets stuck on high though off and on.Is it possible,that the after market chip screwed something up??? If so,i have no clue what..I also checked the vaccum lines for leaks,cleaned out TB with new gasket.Have no checked the the EGR though..
