speedo and cruise control stopped working

Transmission: auto
Axle/Gears: 373
speedo and cruise control stopped working
I have a 92 T.A. (305 tpi, auto trans) and the speedometer and cruise control stopped working the other day. Checked fuse panel and all is well. Is it my speedo cable? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Uh, 92 didnt have a speedo cable. its digital using a VSS in the trans. I would start by checking that and the wiring coming from that.

Fixed it. It was the vss, shaft broke off where the speedo gear slides on! Little sucker was more money than i thought it would be. ($106.00 from NAPA). There was like 3 or 4 different model #'s and naturally i had the most expensive one! I must have posted this in the wrong area to get so little replies.

thats good you fixed it. Im not much help on the subject seeing as how i have an 86 with a cable
