need help with cam selection.
need help with cam selection.
I have an accel cam installed on my 305TPI. I love the idle and powerband, however I'm almost certain forced induction will help get everything out of it. Bottom end has been rebuilt. L98 aluminum heads along with aftermarket base, stock runners. Possibly in a couple of months I was going to go with a procharger kit(6-8psi)Intercooled. Should I stick with this cam? It is an 87' LB9 block and was wondering if I chose the right cam. Compression is 9.5:1. Thanks!
Here are the specs of the cam that I have.
Duration @ .050" lift: 211/219 (int/exh)
Valve lift: .499"/.525" (int/exh)

i would think your cam would still be good since your still running the stock style intake. i know you have a better base but stock runners. i would definitely put a bigger cam in if you went with say, holley hhr, or miniram. with the supercharger you should extend the peak rpm by 200/300. put you around 5000-5100.
