I would try pulling some weight and doing other things before I go thru the hassle and money of a cam swap. You are only a tenth away from your goal.

That would be logical too. Keep playing with it and see if you can find some power somewhere in the combination, or get the 60ft to improve, or get weight out of it.

Another thing you can try, retard the cam 2-4 deg with an adjustable timing setup. That may free up some top end power and get you another tenth or 2 without any money.

The cam retard will be a good idea. If he has torque to spare down low then he will not loose his 60' but pick up rpm, top end and mph.

Re: Just can't dip into the 11's

I was thinking over the winter to gut the maf and upgrade my 52mm throttle body to a 58 mm throttle body. Anyone think I would make anymore power, or should I go in a different direction.

That will only help if those items are holding you back, if not then it would be a waste of time and money.

If you do upgrade the throttle body, I recommend the Holley Billet 58mm. I havent had good luck with the BBK's...

If it does make anymore power it wont be noticeable IMO... you still have the MAF to suck through which is more of a restriction than the TB.

I'd retard the cam 4 deg and see if it picks up power. That motor wants more cam with a miniram on top

Was Vic's DA -1500 on that run? Also Vic has a very light C4 compared to an F-Body.
