Re: FIRST FUEL INJECTION's intake?????

There are a few people on this board running it. Below are some links. What engine build are you planning on? If you want high HP you could look into alternate intake systems such as holley stealth ram (HSR) or TPIS minram.

Stock TPI intake was designed for 305. Chevy slapped it on the 350 since they didn't redesign a proper one. Companies (TPIS, SLP) have been selling larger intake runners and manifolds to help 350 and 383 engines breath better. FIRST injection is a properly designed TPI intake system that flows very well at 300 cfm stock. Check out their below website which shows picture comparison of stock vs FIRST intake runner diameters. This is the best aftermarket flowing TPI system stock out of the box. You can only reach these flow numbers with the TPIS or SLP after heavy porting and modifications. FIRST intake will maximize tourque over HP but will help give more of both with a built engine. Rpm band is raised some to around 5,800 but not as much as other intakes that are around 6,200-6,500. Depends what and where you want power.

Re: FIRST FUEL INJECTION's intake?????

The hopeful end result by spring will be turning my 350 engine to a 396 with around 520hp at the fly and 530 - 540tq. The engine builder didnt say how many cfm he wanted but strongly sugested the Lingenfelter stealthram, and to stay away from the miniram and the holley system due to them not flowin enuff. So I think the FIRST seams to be what I want.

Check out the plenum comparison in post number 112. It's a VERY nice casting,, radiused entries and wide open.
