It happened again today
Today I went to the parts store and got stranded. Drove to the parts store which is about 5 miles from my house. Shut off the car went in and got my parts went out and the car would not start. Cranks but wont start. So I pulled the coil wire off and it has fire. Had a screwdriver in the wire laying on the plenum and was throwing a spark about 3/4 inch. Looks to be a good blue spark. I had someone turn over the engine while I was feeling the injectors and could not feel them popping. I called a friend and he came with a pu and chain. I hooked up and pulled it down the street. I stuck it in gear and let out the clutch and boom it fired right up. Unhooked the chain and ran like a champ. Got home and shut it off and it fired right up. One thing I noticed it the battery ran down pretty quick. My question is if the voltage is low in the battery would the injectors not fire?? I thinking my battery might be going south. Its a Optima battery its 4 years old.
Any thoughts?/
Thanks.

Re: It happened again today
too bad because the warranty is 4 years i think.
if its still under warranty, get it replaced.
autozone, napa, advance, ect, will all check the battery and alternator for free.
GM engineered our cars to run on as little as 5v, so if the battery has less than say 7v, i would expect that the injectors would not fire. i say 7v to account for losses in the wiring and poor grounds ect.
go to radio shack and buy a digital Volt Ohm meter for $12 and test the battery next time it happens. also test the voltage to the injectors by jumping from injector power to ground (chassis)
there are a million things that could cause this problem though.
more information is needed.
