fuel pump isnt working?!
fuel pump isnt working?!
ok so i swapped in a 4bolt 350 out of a 90s pickup. i put my tpi intake on it and all the wiring (i think) is back where its supposed to be and now my fuel pump isnt turning on when i turn my key to the on position. i spliced a power wire to the fuel pump wires and it does turn on. im just wondering what all needs to be in order for the fuel pump to turn on. and no the fuse isnt blown. this is driving me crazy, help please!

Apply 12 volts to the "G" terminal on the aldl port. If the pump kicks on you have a faulty fuel pump relay.
By jumping this port it will bypass the relay.

Ok I jumped 12 volts to the G port and the fuel pump turned on so I got a new relay and it still won't fire! Am I missing something? I got another ECM and still nothing. Could it be the oil pressure switch?
Re: fuel pump isnt working?!
I don't know if this helps but when I jumped the fuel pump it just kept going instead of shutting off when the fuel rail was primed. ?
Again I don't know if this matters but the knock sensor isnt plugged either

I might be mistaken but on some of them if the oil pressure sensor is faulty it may act like a fuel cutoff as well. If that doesnt do the trick it would be time to start tracing some wires. If you apply 12 volts to the G terminal it will keep running until you remove the power source.
