Re: iroc l98 HSR
Well my brothers firebird (now mine) had the SLP runners, Edelbrock base, ported stock pluneum, 52 mm throttle body, and 1 5/8 slp headers, hypertech chip, a comp cam with a duration 210 / 218 at 50, and ported stock heads. With that combo the car would do a 14.4 and the car was very good for daily driving. Just thought I'd mention once he changed the heads to some Trick Flows the car got into the 13's
The the pluneum was port by hand via a Dremal that part isn't high tolerance so you can save some money doing that if you buy some new runners. Another thing that will cost you nothing but improves air flow into the engine is to remove the screens on the MAF (just be sure never to run the car without an air filter on if you do that) The old HOT ROD magazines I have talk a lot about stock throttle body and air cleaner box are very restrictive, those are inexpensive to change or modify so doing something with that too would probably be a good idea.
