Car refuses to start with EST wire plugged in
I have an 89 irocz with a 305 tpi. So far I've replaced/installed the following;
fuel filter
starter
distributor cap and rotor
spark plugs & wires
intake manifold gasket
fuel injectors
done a few oil changes
shorty headers
timing chain & gears
When I first got the car last july it started up fine but when I purchased it the rear end was blown. I replaced the rear end and soon after I started having leaky injectors and my timing chain slipped. Replaced them, with a few other things from the above list for maintenance since the last person who owned it trashed the hell out of it and didn't take good care of it. Anyways, I have everything hooked up right now how it should be minus the a/c since I did an a/c delete, and the heat since I won't be using that in the summer so I'll be taking care of that towards sept./oct.
Yesterday I was trying to get it to run and the only time it would run is when the est wire was unplugged, and I slammed my foot on the pedal to start it in flood mode. If I had the est wire plugged in, it would start in flood mode, but would hesitate all over the place. I know my injectors are not flooding my car, because I've already been down that road and know all the signs and symtoms, so I let it be for the day. Today when I started working on it, I double checked my wires just incase, I had my TPS unplugged and I mistakingly forgot to plug it in. I got in the car turned the key, and it fired right up, no foot on the gas pedal. So I grinned not realizing it was unplugged and happy it was running. Turned the key off, unplugged the est and double checked my timing. Was at 6* still from yesterday when I timed it. Than I noticed the TPS unplugged so I scratched my head and plugged it in and plugged the est wire back in. Get in the car, turn the key, no start again. Foot to the pedal, still get nothing. So I go unplug my est wire again, hop in, turn key, nothing. Foot to the pedal, and it started right up. I even tried unplugged the TPS to see if it would fire up again, and of course it didn't. I'm stuck scratching my head wondering what's going on? Has anyone else had anything similar to this that happened? Or anyone know anything I could try to do to fix this issue?

Re: Car refuses to start with EST wire plugged in
Have tried searching this entire forum, and the entire corvette c3 forum and can't really find anything relating to my situation. No body has any idea what's going on?
