Need help with a ZZ4 cam up grade
Hi everyone well I'll make this simple I'm a newby and learning as I go, I've had this 91 camaro now for about 2yrs and and I'm bringing her back to life so the plus about this car is that it's a 355 TPI speed density set up, came with big mouth intake, big mouth runner, and had the plenum ported as well. The car has a lot of extras as well but I won't get into that right now, so my question is what do I need for this upgrade? I'm running the stock L98 heads I know I need springs because of the lift this cam has but can I just install the springs with out removing the heads? Or should I take the heads off and take them to a machine shop? I've read other threads on here about doing this upgrade but no enough info I know there a lot of you guys who have done this so any help would be appreciated thanks...

These GMPP ZZ4/LT4 springs are a drop in fit

Springs can be changed on car; either use compressed air to hold the valves up or use rope inside the cylinder to do th e same

That's what I though too, but the guys at the machine shop told me to take the heads off that just replacing the springs isn't going to be enough. I think there just trying to make a buck off of me because of my lack of knowledge, I've done a little research and found out that the push rods also would be a good thing to replace, what do you all think?
