fuel pump circuit issues
I am having a no prime for 2 seconds issue upon ignition on. The pump is fairly new, new fuel pump relay, no codes. I believe it started when I took power from the relay for my 3 wire heated O2 sensor, but not positive. Car will run obviously from back-up oil pressure switch/ecm. I have grounded the aldl g terminal and no pump power, I jumped it at the relay and the pump worked. I did a little diagnosing using a tpi book i have, and it suggested i had an open somewhere in the relay circuit... could this possibly be from the heated O2 sensor install? If the car has oil pressure and Ive just shut it off and go to start it up again, the pump will prime... any suggestions?? Another quick question, what fuel pressure should I start with on my modded 383?

Re: fuel pump circuit issues
Can you make relay work by putting 12V on the green / white relay control wire ?

Re: fuel pump circuit issues
I used the dark green/white which had the 2 second 12 volt pulse after ignition... I have since removed the heated o2 wire from the circuit and the pump functions fine now. Was it the wrong wire? Should I connect my O2 to the big tan/white wire? I took power from 465. Should I take from red 120? Even though I dont have red...:S

Sure was.
Should use the E terminal on relay ( regardless of color) which is the wire going to the pump.
That way you are using power that is switched by the relay ; not the power to turn on the relay
Should be two thicker wires at relay. On goes to batt and has full time power. The other is live when relay on; that is the one you want

Re: fuel pump circuit issues
I just wired it to ignition. However now that the fuel pump circuit is working properly, I'm having a crank but no start... it will eventually start. Maybe my timing is off now? I just installed a holley afpr and it may be leaking through the adjuster ****... rediculous.

Yep the pump primes like it should... the new holley afpr may be leaking from the adjuster ****... not cool.
