Two times to start

Hey guys, my 350 TPI always takes two trys before she will start. This started happening a year or so ago. On the first try, it just keeps cranking. I let it sit for a minute, then try it a second time, and it sually catches. This only happens the first time I start it up that day. Any thoughts? Can this be caused by my retarding the igintion a couple degrees for nitrous?

Thanks

Re: Two times to start

maybe its the timing, I would check the fuel pump relay, maybe its not priming and the ecu is waiting to see oil pressure to turn on the pump hence not starting the first time.

Re: Two times to start

Where is the fuel pump relay located, and how do I check it?

Thanks again

Re: Two times to start

the fuel pump relay is in the drivers side corner up on the firewall. When you turn the key to the on position you should hear the relay click and you can hear the pump turn on for about 2 seconds.
