Lowering AFR

I have a 89 350 TPI. I keep reading about lowering your air to fuel ratio, especially when running nitrous, to say around 11.5.

I have a wideband 02 sensor so that I can track my AFR. When I try to lower my AFR so that it runs closer to 11, I cant get it away from the 14.6 baseline. I have an adustable fuel pressure regualtor, and I have put in larger fuel jets for my nitorus setup. Yet, even when I hit the nitrous, the AFR is still around 14.

Is this simply because without a chip tune, the AFR really cant be altered? Should I put in even larger fuel jets for the nitrous? I would like to run around 11.5 AFR when hitting nitrous.

Thanks

Re: Lowering AFR

Probably just need bigger jets, I don't see the computer affecting anything when your at WOT.

Re: Lowering AFR

Is there any way to lower the AFR when simply running NA?
