Car is an 87 ta with a 305 tpi, external coil. I just removed the 2 torx head bolts that hold the coil bracket to the rear of the intake manifold(p side) and got some coolant out. Do both of these bolts go into the cooling jacket or just one?

They are the bolts that hold the manifold down. Yes its both, Yes you need them.

 

thanks for the reply, I put teflon tape on both before, just wanted to make sure.
