well My car has been sitting for almost a year I take it out and run it usually once a month and drive it around the block. well I had been super busy and last time I went to start it the alt died so I bought a new alt two months later put it on and it started but it ran for maybe 15 minutes and died and wont start again.

 

does it crank?

 

hmm idk i would like to know too. cuz on my 88 camaro it runs great but if i let it sit for a day or what not it doesn't want to start but it does crank think ill just get a new starter but not sure if that will fix or maybe find a better wire from alt to bat.

 

yeah itll crank all day I THINK im gunna check and see if its getting fuel. and work from there.

 

put a noid light on it to check for injector pulse, and check your fuel pressure

 

Check for spark and fuel pressure first. Then go from there. I had an ignition module go out on me all of the sudden like that one time.

 

Had this same issue with my 89GTA 350. I changed just about everything I could.... ignition coil, distributor, wires, plugs, ecm. Ended up having 5 of 8 bad injectors, replaced all 8 and the car now runs like a dream, no issue since. I would suggest you start there if you have also recently replaced the ignition coil.
