Will this cam make a difference?
Alright, so I've been gutting my 305 TPI to swap in a cam from a 94 lt1 b body that I had laying around. Hoping for more power, but here's the thing. When I got my cam out I realized that I had a 773 cam, that's right the L98 cam. So will putting in the cam from a 94 b body actually help? I can't find all the necessary info for the cam to add it to my desktop dyno. I need help fast please.

Nope, the B-body Cam is smaller than what you already have.
L31 or B-body LT1 camshaft 10243779 191/196 - .418/.430 111 LSA
You'd be better off getting some 1.6 rockers than installing that cam.

Re: Will this cam make a difference?
Yeah I agree with that completely, but the problem is the L98 cam is already pulled out and I've got the two sitting side by side. I was only doing this because I had the cam laying around. I have an LT1 that I'm going to build up so I don't really want to put any money in my little 305. If I'm reading the numbers right then the B Body cam would drop the powerband a little but not really give much more power. Is this true?

Very true. If you don't want to spend alot of money just pull the LT1 cam out of your LT1 for now and use it. What year is your LT1?

Re: Will this cam make a difference?
It's a 94 from a roadmaster. I got it from a guy at work for 200. It spun the number 4 rod bearing and ate up the crank. Eagle rotating kit, lt4 hot cam, nice heads and a twin 54mm throttle body should make some decent power. I'm thinking lt4 heads to go with it.
