The throttle body wont help you except if your pushing big power. Port your stocker if anything.

Headers with good exhaust ~15-25hp
runners will get you 10-15hp as well but port match the upper plenum to match

Save your money and leave the airfoil tb spacer and throttle body off the list

Re: How much HP!

On motor in the sig? 305?

Agree with the above. Full exhaust which is catback/headers/ypipe is good for 20-25hp on most setups. manifold+runners will show a good gain, 10-15 hp but extend the rpm range a tad, especially if you siamese them abit. Bump base timing up from 6 to 8-10 and it should do well.

Re: How much HP!

Then if I add a cam will that make a big deference? I been told my stock cam is the best I can do because my car came with the option of 3:42 gears with a 5 speed with a hurst shifter, ws6, dual cats, and disc brakes. Cars that came with this option had a bigger cam than most 305's. Automatics had a smaller cam. If this is true, am I stock with this cam or can i get a bigger cam. If I replace my stock rockers does it increase HP?

Re: How much HP!

You can still change to a different cam and see a power gain. You would gain power by switching to a roller rocker with a higher ratio, but the gain wouldn't be that big.

Re: How much HP!

you would need to select a cam.. for a specific goal!!!!!
if your looking looking to increase 100 HP or so...
after market heads... should be on your list. your current 305 heads have smaller valves
and would require... porting, valves, guides springs, seals... your in the range of after market.. cam + compression + flow will give you results..

rockers on your stock cam will not not produce much at all..

what is your current goal with your car.....

Re: How much HP!

Computer should be tuned for all the mods in the end, you can gain some hp with minor changes to the stock chip on even a bolt on motor. A cammed setup should get retuned.

1.6's seemed to make a difference on my L98. I dyno'd with air fuel in the 12.5-12.6 range but after the 1.6's and few other minor things in colder air, I dyno'd only 8 more hp but air fuel was 14.2-14.3... so I wonder if that setup went super lean with the extra fuel? I did change injectors so maybe the spray pattern was different. With same air fuel I would have expected a much better gain in hp
