TBI swapping TPI.....Newbie.

Hello forum members. I'm new to this forum. I have a 1991 Silverado sc/sb/ss with a healthy TBI 350/5speed.

I picked up this TPI: upper and lower manifold, injectors, fuel rail, throttle, some sensors on it. And CS valve

The computer is a 1227165. I believe the MAF years. It was a deal so I took the deal. I found a harness for it off eBay(this things are expensive). So no messing with rotted wires. Just be easier on me since, I'm new at this. Help and advice would be much appreciated. I'm making a fuel line to extend the factory fuel lines to the front up match up with the fuel rail connects. I've been reading and seen some thing called VATS, there's a vette in a salvage yard were I pulled the ECM. I could still get some more parts if needed. Im not going to tear into it till I have all things need. That way I can do it, In one weekend. And not change my mind on it. I'm trying to park my money taker a 06 cummins. Help and advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Re: TBI swapping TPI.....Newbie.

just did it not to long ago on my 88 c2500. not to hard really. you will need a throttle cable for tpi, wiring harness of course, high pressure fuel pump, prom for a manual transmission and i would eliminate the cold start injector and use a prom for 89 350 tpi from a vette (since that is the only 350 tpi with a manual avalable). would also recomend going ahead and replacing the crappy factory injectors for som 22lb bosche 3 injectors. as far as vats it will need to be eliminated from the prom if you go with an 89. 88 and below didnt have vats. also need a upper radiator hose for a camaro. now i still havent figured out how im gonna hook up my cruise so if you have it and want to keep it you will have to use some brain power on that on. in the stock location the cable for it is too short and on my the end that goes in the cable bracket is to big. any more questions let me know and incase your curious here is my setup
