1989 350 tpi upgrade help

I swapped a 1989 gta l98 into my 1989 camaro and have edelbrock headers and a 3 inch flowmaster exhaust along with a 2.73 posi. I took it to the track today and i ran 14.3s all day. Over the winter i would like to do some more mods to it. I would like to do a cam swap and some nitrous and also would i need a chip burnt for these mods. I would like to know any suggestions for a combo. Heads are still a possibility too. Thanks for any suggestions. Budget is at 1500 as of now due to being a college student.

I would check out craigslist and other sources for used parts since you are on a tight budget.

Check out this thread for NOS. I know NOS makes a bolt on fogger kit for 150 HP shot that I believe was around $600.

You might be able to find a thirdgen or fourthgen rear end with better gears to swap in. 3.23 or higher would be better. There are cams that are slightly more aggressive than stock that won't require a tune. I don't think any money in heads is worth it. Get some NOS with better gearing and enjoy the fun while on a college budget.

I was thinking about running the crane cams 2032 but would that be a descent cam to run wit nitrous, and other than springs and lifters would I have to change anything other than burning a chip for it. Thanks Blackdog for some suggestions.

swap that first, 3:42 or 3:73 would be great, 3:42 would be a great all around gear. might as well get a disc rear, check the boards usually anywhere from 250-400

3.73 does sound alot better then the 2.73. Are there any better cam selections that would give me more power then the crane 2032?
