1989 350 TPI. After doing a head gasket and working on the valves I am trying to get everything put back together before the deep freeze hits.
My brain is fried so I have to ask about the distrinutor wiring. I have the two wire from the coil plugged in but am about to lose it to find the three wire that goes on the module. Any help on where to look?
I need a beer. The egr solenoid pretty much disintregrated before my eyes along with all the vacuum wiring. I have been trying to fix all of that today. What a PITA but everything will be new when I am finished. Geez.

Where does the three wire plug originate from? That is all I need to know.

um it could be the air temp sensor that is on the bottom of the plenum? it's right in front of the dizzy and plugs in upside down on the bottom.

oh wait. I just re-read your problem and I was thinking something else. My guess would be it has fallen behind the block. Or if i'm not mistaken it's a short wire that connects to another connector just behind the coil. You may have disconnected it from there and layed the wire out of the way some where?

 

The other connector on the module should have 4 wires on it. It comes out of the engine harness toward the passenger side along the firewall.

It might have dropped down the side of the bellhousing. Just follow the harness and you'll find it.

 

Thanks. I knew it had more than two wires on it. I'll look for it in the morning. I should have wrapped it so it wouldn't fall like that.
Heck, I am still celebrating the results of the compression check which might mean I don't need a new engine now. Kind of a bummer when you can't find a frigging wire.
