Car: 1987 Trans Am GTA
Engine: 355 TPI
Transmission: 700R-4
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt limited slip with 3.42
Engine stalls while driving ................
My 1987 trans am has been stalling out while driving. I have the 350 TPI in it and it's a weird issue. I'll be driving and the motor just quits on me and after about 30 seconds or so it lights back off as i am coasting. It has started doing this since it got cold.... I havnt ran the codes on it yet. But it fires right up if it doesnt light off from coasting. Any thoughts or ideas what I should be looking at???

Interesting i would start the car up and do a wiggle test on the ecm wiring..Also would do that at my connectors on the dizzy..A wiggle test is just what it sounds like..Grab the wires and wiggle them see if it stalls..If it does then isolate the wire and repair..

Did you check for fuel pressure? A clogged filter or a dying pump will do it.
