ok so i have a 1985 Z28 camaro, 305 TPI, i can get a hold of a early 70s 350 010 block complete with heads, now, im makin bout 215hp, since its just stock, i wana bump that up to around 350hp, if i use this 350 block what all shuld i do?

if i just keep the botom end stock n get a nice comp cam n headers on it, what heads shuld i use? the stock camaro 305s heads or the heads on the 350? think they r 202 heads, how much hp think i cn get outa it with just headers n cam?

Check the head and block casting numbers BEFORE you buy them. 75%+ out there are junk castings. I just had to turn down a "hi po" 327 because after running the casting numbers I learned it was the "lowest po" 327 built. Casting numbers don't lie.

As for your build, you'd be far better off locating a later model roller motor and building that.

 

not tryna really make to much of a project outa this camar since its all original and rust free, if i culd get 325hp outa the 305 by all means id love to, any ideas on it since its original motor to the car?

 

cam? heads? headers? injectors? throttle body? uhh lol its rated at either 215 or 275 i dont remember, but is there anway to get around 300-325hp from it?
