33 error at half throttle
I have a stock 85 ECM
And I only have the 33 error, no other codes
I get a 33 if I'm under a good load and put my foot down a bit (1/4-1/2) if its under a light load it'll stumble and miss fire with ought a code then continue normally
instead of miss firing when I'm under load the computer stops responding to the TPS and if I floor it it lean miss fires... this oddly happens more often when I'm in open loop than in closed loop (or at least when the engine seems FAR too cold to be in closed loop)
I replaced the MAF, it dies with ought the maf connected
the temp sensor is new and seems to work properly
my TPS is new and at .53VDC at idle/closed throttle position with 5V at C
I couldn't suck any air through my EGR so I think its ok
my fuel pressure is at 40psi with ought vacuum, it was at 47psi (it no longer runs as rich and it stopped killing the tps under light load but that also increased the lean miss fires when the code flashes)
I tried blocking off all the vacuum lines aside from the break booster but that made no difference...
I sprayed starter fluid on the intake around the gaskets but i saw no changes in idle...
I adjusted the TPS to .7VDC and .3VDC and that made no difference (with the error)
I cleaned up all the grounds I could find (the blower motor ground wasn't even connected) that made the car more comfortable but I still get the code
my idle is around 700 and jumps up and down about 150rpm at a stop with the engine warm, with it cold or in park it sits at 1000rpm and does not lope
I'm not sure how often the MAS modules go bad or what they do when they are bad but I'm out of ideas aside from that? unless the probably bad tune could be the cause?
