Siamesed base......Anyone done it?

Does anyone have any actual numbers or dynos showing how a siamesed base affects HP and torque. I'm interested in seeing how it works with siamesed runners and a 8 tube style LTR setup feeding a siamesed base...

Thanks

Chris

Re: Siamesed base......Anyone done it?

My Base is siamesed and ported to a 1205 Gasket. However I am running fully siamesed SLP runners as well. Here is a thread about my dyno numbers and sheets.

Here is a thread with photo's of the entire build.

so your runners and base were siamesed? Do you think you gained alot by doing that?

Re: Siamesed base......Anyone done it?

It's a tough question. My 305 gave out at 4600. The 350 held in there to 4900 and stayed flat till around 5300 but, with better flowing heads, and a much bigger cam who knows. My guess is not so much that it helped but that it would have been terrible if I had not done it. does that actually make sense :-)

A really long time ago. Should be easy enough to find my post by sorting by post views. I dont know that a separate tube vs siamesed tubes is going to matter at all.
