Please post a few high res pics of 1988-89 TPI engine bay (stock)
Hi I have done a few mass air TPI engine swaps and am finishing up another, and I would like to see for my own reference, what a fairly stock 1988 or 1989 mass air, serpentine TPI engine bay looks like (just curious about vacuum hose routing and appearance, wire routing, fuel hard line routing off TPI fuel rails, and such). If anyone has some 800x600 or larger pictures of an 1988 or 1989 mass air TPI engine and engine bay, please post them for my reference. Thanks for your time

1988 GTA, 350 TPI and all stock. This is the only engine bay pic I have right now. Hope it helps.

Thanks yeah that does help! That is a nice big picture too. I see the PCV is on the driver's side valve cover and connects to the port on the upper intake on that same side. What connects to the passenger's side valve cover grommet to serve as a breather?

I can't get to my car at the moment otherwise i'd take a look. Here's the only pic of the pass side of the engine I have. Hope it helps.

I'm not sure what that connection is, sorry. I'll try to take a look when I can. That pic was taken by my HTC phone by the way.

Actually upon closer look at the first pic it looks like the throttle body vacuum port connects directly to the pass. side valve cover and that is the breather, which would make sense. thanks

You are correct. Driver side valve cover is directly plumbed to the throttle body.

Yep. I knew exactly what he meant, and I could see in the pic that it was not completely visible. ......then I blurted out the wrong side! ....I knew what I meant. Sorry.

Anybody else have some large high res 88-89 TPI engine bay pictures? The few posted I have been referring to a lot and more angles would be even better. They do not have to be show winning engine bays, I am just using them to tell where all of the factory wiring, vacuum lines, and component locations are for my TPI conversion

Actually, I got your last post when I was taking a few shots of my car with my phone, so I took a few engine pics for you. You can also see my nice, shiny, new strut mounts.

Thank you! The way I put my coil mount on, the coil does not fit under the extension cover of the TPI so I am assuming I put it on backwards...Also can you tell me where the evap lines connect to on the manifold? I see the check valve has a very small hard line that feeds off the manifold somewhere and then the actual vapor line, the larger one, also disappears up somewhere on the manifold. Thanks

I would appreciate a close up of the egr solenoid and if possible the vacuum lines underneath the tpi plenum.

Me too! I'm not 100% sure if I have the egr solenoid mounted backwards
