L05 out of a truck??
I have a 1988 IROC-Z with the L98. Only thing, that 350 is just about dead. But I have a 1994 C3500 with a 350 and a TBI. I'm going to guess that it is still a L05, but I'm pulling that motor to drop in my 8-71 454. So now I have a spare 350, which will lose it's intake in favor of the TPI from my camaro. for the most part, it should be a simple swap, right?
What issues might arise from this swap? if TPI is worth about 10-15 over a TBI, then shouldn't the motor be in the ball park of what my engine made?
From what i've read on here thus far, my l98 has a roller cam, and the l05 has a flat tappet. if i do a cam swap, i should be ahead of the game with this swap while keeping costs down.

It's a toss up on the cam. I've seen them go both ways. The block should be roller cam ready.
