Best plug wires for 85 TPI
I have an 85 IROC 305TPI. As we all know the original location for the sparkplug wires is under the exhaust manifolds. I keep buring wires from the heat and/or making contact with the manifolds. I am going to spend the money on some good wires this time and run them over the valve covers. (will be adding headers later this year too).
I am looking for some input on what wires everyone has good luck with? What Brands, what size (8mm, 8.5mm or larger)??
I am also going to put heat sheild sleeves over the ends of the wires going to the plugs.
Any input to get the best performance and keep from burning my wires would be great!!

I've had very good luck with Borg Warner NASCAR Select 8mm wires from the local auto parts store. They measure the same or lower resistance than the big dollar wires from the name brands, and they cost a lot less. The ones they specify for our cars are 7mm, but if you get the ones for an 87-95 350 TBI truck, they're 8mm.
