fuel problems. HELP!
Im having trouble starting my 89 camaro . It seems that it drops fuel pressure as soon as the car stops running. After it stops if i don't immediately start the car it won't run without starting fluid sprayed in it, and even that doesn't always work the first time. I was thinking it might be the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump. Any thoughts?

Re: fuel problems. HELP!
Check the fuel pump relay - if it's bad then the OPSU is running the fuel pump, and it takes the OPSU some time to get an oil pressure signal to turn the pump on.

I also forgot to say that when my car is off and i unplug my mass air flow sensor it starts quicker, and when i plug it back in while the engine is running the car stalls out right away. Does it need a new mass air flow sensor or maybe a relay?

Re: fuel problems. HELP!
Sounds like the injectors are leaking fuel down into the cylinders and flooding the motor. Very common problem. If your pressure bleeds down to zero right after you shut the car off then more then likely the injectors nozzles are shot. The starting fluid is just drying off the plugs and letting it start again.
