I personally went with the bosch 3 over the originals and bought them from fic , very happy with them!

The 1988's are different than the 1989. The 1988's are a Bosch 1 design and the part number on them is 5235302. The 1989's are the first year for the Multec design injectors and the part number on them is 17086545.
(Lucas design injectors, part number 10108481, were also installed on some L98's in 1988 due to production and delivery issues at the factory.)

you can also use for blue top injectors, they're 24# instead of the factory 22# and you can get them cheap off of ebay.
