hey guys im having a couple issues with my 86 iroc-z its an automatic and the 305 tpi of course

issue 1 when i got the car last weekend the car was not running that well so i was looking for any isses and came across the ect wires being frayed and the conector being broken so i found a connector and replaced its with solder and shrink tubed it at the same time i replaced the temps sending unit for the guage and the sender for the rad fans... now the car runs awesome and the guage still does not work any ideas??

issue 2 when i slow down with the car in drive i noticed my rpms fluctuating up and down roughtly 500-1500 rpm and never conssistant is this normal or do i have an issue with the idle air control or something else ????????

 

with your rpms i have the same issue they jump around and some times it stalls on me... it use to stall alot but i noticed that a plug in under the MAF was unplugged and it helped it rpms dont jump as bad but in my MAF sensor the screens are cut out so that could also be a problem if yours are also

 

no tthe plug for the maf is connected and no issues there and the screens are still intact with mine wondering if it could just be dirty
