was wondering if there is a how to remove the lower intake (base) on a l98

 

It comes off like any other SBC, once you get the plenum and runners off. Just realize the runners have bolts coming from the center of the intake manifold also. You'll see them after you take the plenum off. Just don't hit anything with a metal hammer! The gaskets will hold it together after you remove the bolts. A rubber hammer, used gently will separate the plenum from the runners.
