Cam and Porting advised. Need more opinions.
I've been advised to put in my stock 305 TPI (Auto converted to Manual) the following camshafts:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Crane+Cams/271/104224/10002/-1
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRN-104224/
or
this one:
http://www.competitionproducts.com/E...uctinfo/E1136/
I want some extra power from my 305 before I find a 350 Block (if that ever happens).
So I was considering a Cam upgrade and some porting like this:
https://www.thirdgen.org/siameseport
http://www.gmtips.com/3rd-degree/dox...-port/port.htm
http://www.cis.udel.edu/~davis/z28/buildup/plenum/
Which Cam should I choose? And what gains will I get?
Also which Fuel Pressure Regulator should I get (as cheap as possible...) and where should I install it?
I guess some (or most) of my questions might be noobish...but I really need help.
P.S.: Tuning is nearly impossible where I live. American cars are EXTREMELY rare here.....I look like an alien here when I drive my TA.

If you're wanting to swap cams and heads without a tune you're pretty much up **** creek without a paddle bro. If you can wing it I would definitely get the EBL Flash from www.dynamicefi.com. Even for a novice tuner it makes life MUCH easier when you decide to go outside of the "bolt on" area.

Thanks a lot for the reply.
Without a tune and the cam and porting how would the car run with just the AFPR?
Can I order a custom burned chip later? (If yes which one and from which website)
Help! lol

So what would you recommend? Can I order a custom burnt chip to insert into my stock ECU?

If you do go with a afpr you need to be able to make more air be able to come in with a cold air intake and exhaust i have seen one person on here who has put a cold air intake on with exhaust and ignition stuff. and when he added the afpr he recorded 40hp gain and 30 foot pounds of torque gain not counting the mods already on the car.

thats what I'd try first if you need a chip for the mods you do. being MAF it will be easier to tune, but still require a tune to run best. It may run ok without a tune at first, but WOT may be off.
You could order the equipment to do it yourself and learn here. Thats your best bet if you plan on keeping a car like that where you live and plan on doing more mods in the future.
