lb9 2032 cam worth it?

My 92 lb9 auto z28 is going in the garage over the winter do do lots of little maintenance and to put headers on it pull the intake for porting and new runners. I can get the 2032 cam for $100 from a friend would it be worth putting it in the motor while I have it down? I will most likely be putting a stall and shiftkit in the transmission at the same time and get someone to setup some 3.42s in the rear for me come spring time. Would it be worth the gains for the trouble? I was going to pull all the front accesorys off anyway and have to also change the oil pan since a po though it was a good place to lift the car with a jack. I know ill have to change the valve springs that's no big deal I ran a similar size cam in my 82 trans am and my 86 trans am and my 86 silverado and it performed well but was a flat tappet the summit racing 1103. How much issues will I have in the tunning dept? How long could I run it on the stock sd tune and be ok?
