bone stock 1986 IROC 5.0 TPI Auto....needs injectors...part number?
bone stock 1986 IROC 5.0 TPI Auto....needs injectors...part number?
I have searched and read nearly 3 dozen threads and never got the answer I want so heres another injector thread (sorry guys).
I have a 1986 Camaro IROC 5.0L TPI with automatic trans and I want to replace my injectors because the car sat for awhile before I bought it. Its just not performing as I think it should, plus they appear to be original 25 year old injectors (see attached pic).
Can someone please give me the stock injector part number for my camaro?
I really dont want 22lb etc or special injectors that require spacers and double o-rings. I just want stock replacments, no matter what brand...plug-n-play 19lb with no mods required. However I want to make sure I order the correct ones and not find out they are wrong after I have it all torn apart.
I considered having mine rebuilt, however Im not sure what brand I have and if they are rebuildable.

Nobody will give you the correct answer for our 85-86 TPI injectors. Most of this website focuses on 87+ cars with the glorious 350.
Mine original injectors in my 85 were the same ones pictured.
You're going to receive answers like Rochester, Lucas, or Bosch Series I. So your guess is as good as anybodys.
As for replacements, people seem to like the Bosch III. They have an adapter on them, but they are not double o-ring and they are plug and play.
Hope this helps.
