wire?

when i got my car there was a wire wrapped around the AC lines on the passanger side. just a dead bright blue wire.. no end or connector, I can trace it to where it was Spliced into a BROWN wire that goes into a harness under the exhaust manifold and up the engine by the ac pump and then into a larger harness along the valve cover witch is for the fuel injectors im assuming as there are wires coming out of it to the injectors...

What is it? only thing i can think of is maybe a aftermarket PF guage?? I wanna rip it off but obviously it is connected to a wire that supposed to be there!

Re: wire?

Wiring diagram lists a brown wire in that area going to the air pump valve along with a pink/black wire. Does the car still have the pump?

Yes, but I removed the Lines last night. witch cleared up enough viewing space to see where this mystey wire goes.

its not for the AIR pump, the large harness along the valve cover splits and goes down to the one im talking about and UP to the air pump with two connections that i unplugged from the AIR pump.
one is white with two wires...both are pink with black stripe. THEN the other connection that was on the AIR pump is green with two wires that are pink with black stripe and the other is Brown.. to its not that one

Re: wire?

Your alt should have two smaller wires coming out of a connector on the back. One fatter and red the other smaller and brown.

Re: wire?

Knock sensor uses a blue wire and it's located low down on the pass side of the block.
