intake head help

I have read on here that there are intakes from some years that fit 2.02 heads and... Is this the maf compared to map is that what changed or is there specific years?

2.02 is size of the valve inside the head.
Nothing to do with intake port size to match the intake port.
A stock head of a certain port size (intake gasket ) may have been available with different valve sizes

Also nothing to do with the engine management type; MAF vs MAP

I'm guessing that this is your question. Center Bolt holes on SBC Intakes changed in '87 to a different angle. If you are using older heads ( '86 or before), then the two center bolt holes on your intake will need to be slotted to allow the bolt the proper angle to fit the older heads. Alternatively, you can find an '86 or earlier intake.

Yes that is what im askin like camel hump heads or somethin. i wasnt sure if it was the different intake the map vs. the maf cause i know 86 and what not was a maf and most after is map. but my 87 intake is maf so i wasnt sure if it would fit on other heads

Guys,

I'm doing the opposite. I have an 86 TA and aquired centerbolt heads. Will the 86 intake bolt up to the centerbolt heads?
