swapping injectors

alrite so i have a 305 tpi car and it has the 350 chip in it so its runnin a little lean i have a set of 30lb injectors and i was thinking to put them in instead of the 19s. and yes i no its gonna run a lil rich but would it b to rich that it would bog down the motor or just a decent gain over the 19s??? and the only other thing done to the car is headers and exhaust and k&n filters

Re: swapping injectors

IMO. 30 lb injectors on a 305 will be way too rich. I don't think you will be happy with them at all. You will need a tune on the chip to even get close to running well on 30 lbs. Since you will need a tune anyway, why not get the chip you have re-tuned for the 19 lb injectors you already have?

Re: swapping injectors

30 lb would be way way way too rich. It would cause you some problems including damage to your engine.

Re: swapping injectors

A stock 350 even only has 22lb injectors so you can imagine how big of an overkill 30lb would be in a 305.

Re: swapping injectors

.. What makes you think it's "lean"..? . Are you showing any Codes?

.. What's your fuel pressure... possibly a slight bump in fuel pressure is all you need to compensate for the additional scavenging of headers...

.. If putting the 30 lb. injectors in, also put a 460" engine in...
