what happens when water gets in my air filter?
Hello, I am looking to get a RAM air hood on my 91 z28 L98. I will also be getting the ram air box for the air intake. If I drive when its raining out and the rain enters the RAM air through the hood and hit the filter will water get through the filter? If so what would happen any ideas? Thank you.

Water will go through the filter. Not much will happen.

when the paper element gets wet itll close up...itll turn to paper mache...use a foam filter

Paper filter elements aren't made of paper.

Paper mulch, usually long stranded mulch and impregnated to increase moisure resistance
