HP estimate - needed for car classification
Hi guys, I know these threads aren't popular, but I'm trying to submit info on my car to a local car club so I can get my car into the proper class for some Time Attack racing this year. Part of the classification is to estimate the hp/TQ of your car if its been modded. I've put down 330hp/400ft/lbs (at wheels) as an estimate as I've never dynoed the car, and I'm just basing it off what I have seen with other builds. Can you let me know if that is in the right ball park? Here are the mods
355
trick flow 23 heads
ported edelbrock lower intake
ported slp runners and matching plenum
LT4 Hot Cam
MSD ignition
10:1
SLP 1 3/4 headers, 3" exhaust
going through a 700R4.
I need to have it tuned this spring after i get the intake on, but is 330/400 a reasonible estimate for this motor? If not, what should i expect?
Thanks

If you had a stealth ram or mini ram i would say those numbers would be right on you got a big miss match high rpm power cam with low rpm intake set-up, thats close to my original combo but i had a lt4 factory cam fresh 350 took it to the track an ran slower then the factory set-up ordered a mini ram took of the high flo base an slp runners pop-ed on the mini and it was alive put down just under 300whp.

I think it could do low 300s at the tires. Stock LT1's will do 330 with LT4 hotcam and exhaust bolt ons/tune. TPI is gonna restrict the rpm range abit but it should still support low 300's whp with that cam and those good heads.

Thx guys. I'm not too concerned with what it actually puts down as long as it runs decent. A lower number just means I'm classed with cars I'm going to have a chance to be competitive with.
