Car: SS Monte TPI
Engine: 5.7 TPI
Transmission: 200r
Axle/Gears: 10 Bolt 3.73
Sending unit ??
On an 87 5.7 GTA TPI engine what is the sending unit in the right cylinder head between cyl's 6 & 8 ?? (oil temp. maybe ??)
I'm swapping this into an old Monte SS and I ain't got nothing on the harness to plug into it.

Usually the sender for a temp gauge.
Nothing to do with engine management harness
Oil temp sensor if ever fitted is into the oil gallery port above the oil filter

Sounds like the secondary fan switch. Turns on the passenger side fan. If that is it all you need to do is find a connector for it.

You could always buy the hypetech fan switch, which will come with a connector too. OR just buy the connector at an auto parts store and wire it to your own switch,then ground the other end of course. Then you have your own controllable fan switch.
