Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: Posi - 3.23
Which air filter to buy?
Im about to buy some Summitracing products guys. I want to buy some K&N air filters but I saw that Spectra makes the very same filter for half the cost. THey are both made of cotton so whats the difference?

I run the cheap paper filters in mine. The car runs the exact same times with them in or out.

actually, if your car is a MAF system, you run the risk of contaminating the MAF with the filter charge oil that most cotton filters need. oe paper is fine too.

The K&N filters will has longer then the car with the correct Maintenance (that means follow the instructions and DO NOT over oil). Bought mine in 1988 and still using the same filters (again proper maintenace).

Love the input guys. I never thought about the fact that the cleaning/charger oil can contaminate the MAF Sensor. I might just stick the the paper filter then.
