Difference between F-body and Vette EGR valve?

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the F-body and Vette EGR valves? I'm not talking about the EGR system, only the valve itself. I know there is a difference in the systems as far as where it gets exhaust gases. In photos the valves look nearly identical but have different part numbers. I'm looking to put one onto a Corvette TPI manifiold, but since my heads do have an exhaust crossover, I plan on simply blocking off the port that would normally connect to the #8 exhaust, and getting exhaust to the valve from the head.

I'm pretty much needing to know if the vette one will work the same as the F-body one since the vette one is $20 cheaper and in stock at my local parts store and the F-body one is more money and needs to be ordered.
