I'll straight up admit I'm way out of my league and this is all a bit daunting. I'm reading up from articles on the net but thought I'd check in for some actual hot-rodders experience

I've got a '90 L98 GTA and have purchased some AFR 180CC 919 heads and the xfi268 comp cam. Block is standard. It's a speed density car

Grateful if someone could guide me about what head gasket I'll need for decent drivability compression.

Don't think it matters but car will have a heavily ported TPI setup (siamesed runners), 25 lb injectors and a 52mm TB.

Call GM an order a Hi Performance head gasket for an 87-91 Corvette which is .028 thickness. It will boost the compression. If they don't have it then call TPIS. Dont use Fel-Pro.

 

thanks man - appreciate you chiming in. Been trolling the TPI boards recently and yours and other cali members' whp numbers have kept me tpi.
