engine trouble
I get this feeling that this question gets asked slot so if so I cant find it sorry. I have a 1987 trans am TPI. It did sit for quite some time I done know how long exactly. Ive put new plugs and wires on it. Now the issue. It will start and idle just fine and cruise at about 1000 rpms. No problem. But if you shower down on it it'll all but die. What would you suggest my next move be? Fuel filter? Distributer cap? Something else? Thanks in advance

Re: engine trouble
Check your fuel pressure. Stock pressure is 43.5 PSI. See if there are any codes stored in the computer. I would also check your TPS sensor voltage. IT should be .54 volts at idle, and 4+ volts at wide open throttle. If the fuel filter hasn't been changed recently, I would change it.
