Is it possible to get 300hp on the crank without changing intake manifold and basically keeping the engine in stock condition? this car (1991 firebird 350 trans am ws6) is rare around here and i dont want to turn over whole engine.

cat-back, headers, high flow cat K&N filters and what else do i need? or can i get 300hp without cam or any "bigger mods"?

You'd probably have to tink around with the motor a bit.. specifically heads,
intake, and exhaust as well as getting some CAI on it. Even then, itd be a
close call. But, Id like to think it is feasible if your willing to bust into the top
end.

And, if your willing to go that far, a cam and a tune aint that far off...

 

Just wondering if I change the cam is there anything else that would need changing in L98? And can you recommend any good street cam? Low-end torque would be nice.

 

300 is not a lot of HP. Full exhaust, improving the air filter setup, 1.6 roller rockers and a dyno tune should get you there.

 

nvm bought cam and manifolds and stuff, enough hp for now
