TPI swap
I'm swapping my TBI to a TPI system that I picked up and I have a question.....I did research on it but, I still am not positive. I was going to convert my TBI harness to run the TPI for MAP/SD but....I only have the 91 stock TBI ecm and a 87 TPI ecm....can I use either of those to run that harness converted to MAP/SD TPI? Anyone's help would be AWESOME!

I already wired everything else up but the ECM and all I need to know is if I HAVE to use the 7730 ECM or if I can get away with using the 7165 ECM or if there is some way to use the 91 TBI ecm.

I have the 165 ecm.....burn off and Maf relays. The ecm and relays were out of a 87 iroc. I also have the 87's harness....so me and me friend were going to repin and add the connections for the Maf off of the 87 harness. Pretty much building a harness lol.
